Life gets super busy with three kids. However, I did find time to make this little card today. I used Tim Holtz Ink, reinkers, tattered angles dragonfly stamp and some brads.<br />
Thanks so much for looking.<br />

My kids are in their last week of school for the year. So I am enjoying my time, being in my craft room, while they are not here. <br />
<br />
Today I am posting my project for Challenge #5 Shattered Stains from Linda's blog <a href="http://studiol3.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Studio L3</a>. This weeks sponsor is<a href="http://www.simonsaysstamp.com/" target="_blank"> Simon Says Stamp</a>. Simon Says Stamp is generously offering a $25 gift card to their store.<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 20px;"><br /></span></span><br />
This technique, Shattered Stains, comes from Tim Holtz's Book, <span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 20px;"> </span><i style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 20px;">A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2, on page 48.</i></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;"><i style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; line-height: 20px;"><br /></i></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 15px; line-height: 20px;"><i>So here is my project. I made 5 4x4 cards (three are shone here). I used white card stock, distress inks (several colors), two different masks, spray ink, grunge paper, rock candy crackle paint, smooches, distress stains, and my Cricut to cut out the die. </i></span></span><br />

A story of a woman who was ill with MS. She was distressed, sick and all that. One of her pastors told her about this tradition from Africa, 29 gifts. Please keep in mind that I am shortening this story by a lot. Here is the link if you want the entire story. <a href="http://www.29gifts.org/">http://www.29gifts.org/</a> You can check out the book at your local library. It was very inspiring. <br /><br />All this came about for lent. When my friend was talking about this story, it was like God talking right to me. This is for you, Melissa. Really? Well, to tell the truth I am not surprised. <br /><br />So for lent, I am doing the 29 days of giving....but stretching it to last 40 days. Not everyday, but close. <br /><br />The first day, I wrote a note to my Daughter's teacher. Just a note, nothing special. Well, it was to her. I had no idea of the impact that little note had for her. how cool.<br /><br />The second day, I gave a dress that no longer fit Gigi to a friend. Knowing that she will love the dress as much as we did, makes me happy.<br /><br />Today, I am going to get all the morning stuff done, so my husband can sleep in. He thinks I take advantage of him. <br /><br />So this is what I have been up too. <br />Thanks for reading.Missyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241750774897547959.post-20819505040812365432010-09-30T06:02:00.000-07:002010-09-30T06:25:19.839-07:00My last project for GCD Studios as their spotlight girl.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLlf-TUTae25Y6Vb0JM8hhp1N8XJ1MIJRt5vunM4sGJ4qrhyphenhyphen9XJXzhV1fKjqK2T97n0q0HCotLPR9LeZh4YZWM2X8PCY-HTWJoDfHG8akdq2eemUTjzb1EeMD_F1q3Dm_TG9TD8OVRY_4s/s1600/IMG_9399.gif"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLlf-TUTae25Y6Vb0JM8hhp1N8XJ1MIJRt5vunM4sGJ4qrhyphenhyphen9XJXzhV1fKjqK2T97n0q0HCotLPR9LeZh4YZWM2X8PCY-HTWJoDfHG8akdq2eemUTjzb1EeMD_F1q3Dm_TG9TD8OVRY_4s/s400/IMG_9399.gif" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522695863542710658" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhroxlgV9XUhFZNnCh7TdTwjm6hgUoMaO0t0XYE5VUuUxGkfqG_dvSSJqK-uQxK_Q2-piuG9f-uvfNobs5vsbcjpJEiAPxjZdtc6PU8GsA3v2pgHsCnOVOfY7-eEdhaNLegD9x15frvvc6z/s1600/IMG_9400.gif"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhroxlgV9XUhFZNnCh7TdTwjm6hgUoMaO0t0XYE5VUuUxGkfqG_dvSSJqK-uQxK_Q2-piuG9f-uvfNobs5vsbcjpJEiAPxjZdtc6PU8GsA3v2pgHsCnOVOfY7-eEdhaNLegD9x15frvvc6z/s400/IMG_9400.gif" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522695845271869970" border="0" /></a>Here is my final project for my spotlight month with GCD Studios. I used Melody Ross's chipboard album, with her homespun line of papers and embellishments. I added the stamps of the girl and my doodling with smooches and pens. i have not filled with with photos yet, but I love it none the less. This album was fun to make. <br /><br />Now I must run and start the day. I alreadly made several 12x12 layouts with similar photos. <br /><br />I used all GCD Studio papers. Most of the embellishments are from different GCD Studio lines...(again not all) The stamps are by Heidi Swapp. <br /><br />Thanks for taking a minute to look. (Which explains why I am up at this ungodly hour...a little calm before the chaos breaks in.)<br /><br />I have a 7:30 am appointment, then a nice meeting at Church all morning. Then I am running over to another appointment. I will have a few quite hours in the afternoon to do house work, and then another appointment at 3:45. After which I will run home and make dinner and rush my daughter off to cheer leading. <br />Ok...maybe it is not as crazy as I think. I am starting a little seasonal job next week, so I am trying to squeeze everything into now.<br /><br />I am so excited about my job. It is my first one in over 10 years. <br /><br />So, during my quite time this morning, I thought I would share another layout with yall. This is of my youngest son. We were walking in the woods (I don't hike.lol) after our bout tour at the Lost River Cave. Jackson just had to see if he could get inside. <br /><br />On this layout I used Canta Collections paper at the base. I spritzed it with spray ink. But first I want to share this layout with you. It's a photo I took of my daughter the day she was trying on her dance recital costume. She looked so pretty in the sun light. <br /><br />When I decided to make this layout, the Paris paper from Paris Nights GCD Studio collection just seemed to fit. I misted the paper with pink ink spray and added other papers for a layered looked from the same line. I also used some of Melody Ross's line of recipe cards and embellishments to finish the page.<br /><br /><br />It is an art day for me. I have no where to be for once. No rushing around in the late afternoon to get dinner on the table so we can rush off to other commitments. It is such a wonderful feeling. So I am ignoring all the things that should be and really need to be done around the house today and instead I am going to be creating. My daughters Birthday is coming up soon and I am making her invites...<br /><br />xo<br />MissyMissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241750774897547959.post-65262177111724260012010-09-20T04:29:00.000-07:002010-09-20T04:42:50.859-07:00Blue Hair.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizvMGwn6QnVw62t1-NI_YezeSKTdrIDT81oVSNb9lyw7iy6hUYx-Ipg5RutzuF48prSUYq_fbDXdxKm4wKFlGj7W-9ELf8Wrxc4aa3M8933X9RRKrjBRYwiEdpqcg9o8Nv81E1wrXZwqTv/s1600/IMG_9364.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 384px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizvMGwn6QnVw62t1-NI_YezeSKTdrIDT81oVSNb9lyw7iy6hUYx-Ipg5RutzuF48prSUYq_fbDXdxKm4wKFlGj7W-9ELf8Wrxc4aa3M8933X9RRKrjBRYwiEdpqcg9o8Nv81E1wrXZwqTv/s400/IMG_9364.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518958359126883106" border="0" /></a><br />The colors did not translate well...they are much bluer than green in real life. I am wishing we had another day left of the weekend, but it is what it is. <br />Jackson was not feeling well, so we only did what we needed to do and nothing more. So we went shoe shopping, as all three kids needed new shoes. After that, the boys stayed at home and viewed some movies and Gigi and I went to a play date. That was so fun. <br />Today we just played and rested and played. <br /><br />Here is another layout that I made for my GCD Studio spotlight. This is about about my youngest son's baptism. I used paris nights paper and letter stickers, some scraps from cassette collections paper. I accented the photo and paper with some rub-ons that have been in my stash for some time now. The journaling reads: Jackson's Baptism. Jackson with his Godparents at our church. <br />I just cannot get over that this photo was taken over 4 years ago. How fast they grow. <br /><br />Hope you all have a wonderful Monday....<br /><br />xo<br />MissyMissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241750774897547959.post-28968310383968260252010-09-17T09:55:00.001-07:002010-09-17T10:04:49.836-07:00pretty in pink<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvR2F_Zcd3xgzY-URDOF5h-EbDhadTQmywzqXwFNCBqnrGKEvGZxRk7hFXLC46inC2ILj0G4NgCDY6aEJ1xkmNqutakmbocxchkty9hG2IVIKfpCWi0DwYAXLLvyVmwo1EnO3mXbITUtgP/s1600/IMG_9351.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 393px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvR2F_Zcd3xgzY-URDOF5h-EbDhadTQmywzqXwFNCBqnrGKEvGZxRk7hFXLC46inC2ILj0G4NgCDY6aEJ1xkmNqutakmbocxchkty9hG2IVIKfpCWi0DwYAXLLvyVmwo1EnO3mXbITUtgP/s400/IMG_9351.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5517927337450675394" border="0" /></a><br />Hello there. I has been just a few days since I last posted....Life just got in the way a little bit. <br /><br />Here is a layout that I made about Gigi. She was posing for me in her ballerina costume for the dance recital last spring. I used paris nights paper, with a little bit of a music sheet that I had laying around. I used Paris Nights glitter stickers for my title, and some Melody Ross embellishments. I finished off the layout with some glimmer mist, butterflies and a stamp. <br /><br />The journaling....<br />Gigi Spring 2010 Here you are wearing your pink dance recital costume. Even at the age of 5, you are a lovely young lady. You danced to Hey Diddle Diddle, the Cat and the Fiddle. You were fabulous on stage. We can't wait to see what you do next. (This looks way cuter in person.)<br /><br />xo<br />MissyMissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241750774897547959.post-79339812386567032802010-09-15T06:11:00.001-07:002010-09-15T06:20:05.226-07:00Run Into the Light<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6s4QNP0HscZPoj3ax10EJFmlT65E_DvZDcr2WwT0IljIGQXgW05FVMFEAcQmoUmP1IujoRBTsq2uF8rCLBC1gLIOQH5ybRssmF5E4NiAfhC9vzJAbL932C7eyqpKXV3W3cHGnJw1C98QF/s1600/IMG_9347.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 378px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6s4QNP0HscZPoj3ax10EJFmlT65E_DvZDcr2WwT0IljIGQXgW05FVMFEAcQmoUmP1IujoRBTsq2uF8rCLBC1gLIOQH5ybRssmF5E4NiAfhC9vzJAbL932C7eyqpKXV3W3cHGnJw1C98QF/s400/IMG_9347.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5517127509974967986" border="0" /></a><br />Running. That is my life right now. I rush around, getting the kids ready for school. Run around getting things done, the cleaning, the errands and more. Then I rush over to volunteer at the school and it never ends. This is the reason for not posting yesterday. <br /><br />So here this this layout, and I thought it was fitting with my life. I used some Melody Ross papers mixed with Canta papers. I made little tags so you can see the second side. I made cute little flower embellishments out of the GCD Studio paper scraps that I had laying around. <br />This is my Youngest, running and playing in Grandma's back yard last spring. I simply love the light that happens in the evening and the haze and mists you get. I wish I could be running and playing like this, instead of the running and rushing around I have to do as a responsible adult. What do you wish for? <br />Have a wonderful day. I must now continue my rushing...lol.<br /><br />xo<br />MissyMissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241750774897547959.post-53995673162150677602010-09-13T05:28:00.000-07:002010-09-13T05:53:54.453-07:00Winter<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqEuHU8bAIpL1kZJKmXOvmZd7UNoJ39GRTo8UCDPRUkYhmwvdK3Vis6r5V1ToHWJBbgelZ-iTVNraIk0YqX8ElQ3dNqXmZHZLOdEUUn4e9aL7t39o9CSpc2xg_UnvNiGonObhFjQMKTkDX/s1600/IMG_9267.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqEuHU8bAIpL1kZJKmXOvmZd7UNoJ39GRTo8UCDPRUkYhmwvdK3Vis6r5V1ToHWJBbgelZ-iTVNraIk0YqX8ElQ3dNqXmZHZLOdEUUn4e9aL7t39o9CSpc2xg_UnvNiGonObhFjQMKTkDX/s400/IMG_9267.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516378791802111122" border="0" /></a>Last year it snowed. Several times. Now to some of you, this is not a big deal. To me it is not a big deal, having grown up in the North and having lived in Detroit for a year. However, living in the South, it is big. We don't usually get snow. Last season, we had three big snows. A huge deal. So I have tons of snow photos, for the total of 6 days we had snow. Why? My kids have always lived in the South and this was the first time for the two younger ones to remember snow. <br /><br />Anyway, here is a layout I made about winter, my daughter and the snow. There is no journaling, as I think the photo says it all. <br /><br />I used some paper from the Canta line, Paris Nights line, Cosette Collection, and some Melody Ross embellishments (all by GCD Studios).<br />Happy Monday!<br />xo<br />MissyMissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241750774897547959.post-44130821224938547272010-09-10T10:46:00.001-07:002010-09-10T10:56:54.363-07:00Simply Perfect<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXk0CiAfIDOekxs5_6zPCMHVhZEFjd4nQFp8lP5S2WAXow_74cXG8qUpSCqOBItb4yfgPQOUbrwuJypDdTEOXo19vsvCYRvYzNfHo6wEkJdPulOevtx65GIlcnBkiKFpD-qQv5HyGKlDhg/s1600/IMG_8870.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 387px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXk0CiAfIDOekxs5_6zPCMHVhZEFjd4nQFp8lP5S2WAXow_74cXG8qUpSCqOBItb4yfgPQOUbrwuJypDdTEOXo19vsvCYRvYzNfHo6wEkJdPulOevtx65GIlcnBkiKFpD-qQv5HyGKlDhg/s400/IMG_8870.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515342852738027218" border="0" /></a>Today is Friday. The end of the week. I have been trying post to my blog everyday of the month (excluding weekends) for September. And everyday I am trying to include some of my work, all of which included GCD Studio products. On this layout, the foundation of the layout is paper from their Canta Line. This line blends so well with so many things and colors and is just fun to use. <br /><br />This layout in about my son Jackson jumping during his 3rd Birthday Party. As I said, I used GCD Studio paper for the foundation. The little scraps from Cosmo Cricket, which were placed to hide where I had cut into the foundation paper for another project. The Frame is paper by pink paisley. The mask and paints are by Tim Holtz and Ranger. I did the stitching with my ssewing machine and the rub-on is from a friend. <br />Hope you all have a fun weekend. <br />xo<br />MissyMissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241750774897547959.post-90725258701846832442010-09-09T05:28:00.000-07:002010-09-09T05:38:11.303-07:001st day .....<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5qJvwp5SSE-Z2ex4UrwmCDOGa8mgqJZnpzjJrpRSd5dNWIniaP49XijlUMfqBGcBcqkWbzASLtpFOcLu8a3kf8lTX4kEm_CHksYQCmVx92kSHzeXq1Eb8Qd9LynFoh69U8TE-ftRFzmyL/s1600/IMG_8780.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 396px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5qJvwp5SSE-Z2ex4UrwmCDOGa8mgqJZnpzjJrpRSd5dNWIniaP49XijlUMfqBGcBcqkWbzASLtpFOcLu8a3kf8lTX4kEm_CHksYQCmVx92kSHzeXq1Eb8Qd9LynFoh69U8TE-ftRFzmyL/s400/IMG_8780.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514890365025506466" border="0" /></a><br />It's me again. here is another layout about my family. I love how this collection works so well for masculine layouts as well as feminine ones. <br /><br />I also love how easy GCD studios products blend with the rest of my stash. <br /><br />The journaling reads: The boys being silly at dinner. 7-24-2009.<br /><br />Wishing you all a great weekend...<br /><br />xoxo<br />MissyMissyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3241750774897547959.post-21665335734753584092010-09-02T08:46:00.000-07:002010-09-02T08:53:24.408-07:00Riding lessons...<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT9Z22-aALsQZZCAaFQjtP9zgIE9fizSiuq17JolS2stps8Y03aTX4qlc-fomLCpL8qGqqMzt75qgSdruaI52RAXzfTQ4jeW6_DyfzDlbtgJd6aMfgefYO49B_5WFg29Ta3XAOATWXGXRF/s1600/IMG_9019.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 399px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT9Z22-aALsQZZCAaFQjtP9zgIE9fizSiuq17JolS2stps8Y03aTX4qlc-fomLCpL8qGqqMzt75qgSdruaI52RAXzfTQ4jeW6_DyfzDlbtgJd6aMfgefYO49B_5WFg29Ta3XAOATWXGXRF/s400/IMG_9019.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512343783413608642" border="0" /></a><br />My oldest two kids, have been interested in riding for a while. This summer we started lessons. Both of them are loving the lessons, which is so great. <br /><br />Here is a layout about Gigi and her riding lesson. I used Casette Collection paper by GCD studio. and some other things from ym stash. I just love how easy it is to mix and match GCD studio products with other products by GCD Studios and also how easy it is to mix them with other items from other manufacturers. <br /><br />This is Gigi leading Trigger, the horse.Missyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04355761224503695208noreply@blogger.com0
